Within the framework of the SHINES project, HES-SO Valais-Wallis is assessing the hydro-electric potential of existing rivers and canals in the cantons of Geneva and Valais. In cooperation with the cantonal authorities, FMV and SIG, it is compiling an inventory of promising sites, estimating their hydraulic and electrical potential, and providing its expertise to the project partners, including for outfitting pilot sites abroad.
