The CAMINO project is a collaborative initiative aimed at improving public transport systems across North West Europe (NWE). Our consortium brings together a public transport authority, a public transport operator and a research centre, each bringing unique expertise to work on strategies for introducing automated transport into the public mobility system.


Municipality of Almere

Netherlands As the governing body for public transport in Almere, PTA Almere is committed to implementing innovative solutions that improve service efficiency and reduce environmental impact. Their experience in urban transport planning is instrumental in developing strategies tailored to the specific needs of the NWE region. Almere is the lead partner in the CAMINO project.

De Lijn

Belgium As the operator of the bus and tram networks in Flanders, De Lijn is committed to providing reliable and sustainable transport options. Their participation in CAMINO focuses on the integration of advanced technologies to improve service quality and operational efficiency.

ROSAS

Switzerland The Research Centre for Operations, Security and Analytics brings academic expertise in data analytics, security and operational research to the consortium. Their contributions are essential for the development of data-driven strategies to improve public transport.
